Meet Our Teachers
Renee Unworth
Owner/Principal PCS is led by Renee Unsworth, an experienced educator with degrees in Elementary Education and Bible, including an emphasis in Preschool and Kindergarten Education from Crown College. She has a passion for struggling students as she has seen how many students are left behind. Accredited by ACSI, Mrs. Unsworth has taught in public and private schools in Minnesota, California, and Louisiana. During her career, she has worked with every grade level from preschool through high school. A mother herself, Mrs. Unsworth homeschooled her four children, one of whom was a struggling student. All four have graduated college: 2 who have completed master’s degrees, 1 a PhD and the fourth is employed as senior computer engineer.
Dr. Cornelius Coy Williams
Assistant Principal
Dr. Williams is in his first year at Pathways Christian School and
teaches Physical Education, assists with discipline, and many other tasks. Dr. Williams graduated from Crossroads Theological Seminary. He also received his Master’s in Christian Counseling and his Doctorate in Theology. He later matriculated at Lake Charles Bible Collage and Seminary with a Doctor of Ministry. Dr. Williams is married to his high school sweetheart Katrina Williams and is the father of four children. The students at Pathways like to call Dr. Williams, Mr. C.
Mary Unsworth
Teacher
Mary Unsworth is the daughter of Mrs. Renee. She has Bachelor‘s degree in History and a
Master’s Degree. She attended International Science Fair 3x’s in computer programing, and
competed in Poetry Outloud at a state level. She won a local writing competition, and also acted
and directed in plays while in high school. During college and master’s degree she worked in the
Writing Center tutoring students. Currently, she tutors students in Math and ACT testing. She
thoroughly enjoys teaching and working with the students at Pathways.
Louise Williams
Teacher
Is a retired public school teacher after 31 years in elementary education.
She holds both a Bachelors and Masters degree in education with a specialist degree in administration. She is the mother of three children and three bonus children. In total she has eleven grandchildren and three great grand children. At Pathways she specializes in teaching upper elementary school.
